@bahdoon07 Sura 4:34. Also, a woman’s testimony is worth half of a man’s. A woman inherits half the property that men inherit.
Your lies are laughable except that Muslimas are the most oppressed people in the world!

    Or, simply put, you …
Or, simply put, you have a child. Your child goes out and gets into a quarrel with the neighbour’s kid. That doesn’t mean that YOU teach your child to fight. It is human nature to be wrong! You can’t judge an entire clan based on such unreliable statistics.
Similarly, those Muslims that beat their wives are far away from God and Righteousness. Islam says, the best among you is he who is best to his wife. Just coz of a few men you cannot judge ISLAM as a whole.
    Please, give it a thought.

  5. drdan2611 Says:

    MsTracie, why would …
MsTracie, why would you judge a religion based on very few people you know? You’re a christian. I believe christianity is JUST as strong in opposition when it comes to pre-marital or extra-marital sex, drinks, vulgarity etc. But you find christians all over the US and Europe who get drunk and naked and sleep with almost anyone they can get their hands on.
Does that mean that christianity ALLOWS you to engage in immoral activities, such as porn? Think about it.

    P.S. MsTracie…. …
P.S. MsTracie…. I’m a bit confused now, after watching the video you posted on your youtube channel.
What happened that made you change your mind so much about Islam vs. Culture?
I see you saying, in that video, exactly what I’m saying, with different words.
Now you’ve shifted focus… makes me wonder what happened?
    I pray you’re okay.

  7. LMartella Says:

    Muslim women are …
Muslim women are given the right to choose their own husbands. Any other way is against our religion. You are mixing culture with religion, which many non-Muslims do, as well as Muslims themselves.

Marriage in Islam requires mutual agreement (Ijab o Qubul) by the groom AND the bride.

I’m uninterested in hearing what some misguided Muslims do, and then labeling it Islam. That’s unfair, and it’s not reality.

Some people are scum. I’ve met scum from all religions.

    That’s reality.

  8. MsTracie Says:

    You may have a …
You may have a choice here but in other Islamic and traditionally patriarchial countries women don’t have the choice. Their husbands are chosen for them and when they are married and many are under the age of 14! Also, I grew up with American muslim aunts and they ALL left their husbands after years of abuse. My uncle whenever he would enter a room she’d have to stand and he’d always take her seat and she’d sit on the floor. That’s not nice to do to the woman that birthed and rased your child

  9. LMartella Says:

    Finally, my …
Finally, my religion does not allow men to indiscriminately beat me. I plan to not be lewd in my future husbands absence, and as such, I suspect I will be just fine.
I still get to choose who I marry, you know.

  10. LMartella Says:

    So, obviously my …
So, obviously my experiences are different than yours. I have surrounded myself with Muslims for 10 years, and have only met a couple (literally, 2) men who were not nice to their wives.
I argue that violence against women is more supported by cultural statuses of women than religious ones. As a Christian, you must know of the status of women within your own faith.
You speak of freedom and choice – I agree. Choice is too valuable, and I found Islam to be the better choice…
    pt 3 coming

  11. LMartella Says:

    It’s interesting …
It’s interesting for me to recognize that a lot of people have a skewed perspective of Islam because they knew a cruel Muslim in their history… I suppose we are a sum of our experiences, and that molds our perspectives.
Personally, I was raped and beaten by a non-religious Christian… and the two people who helped me not to go into a downward spiral of self loathing and possible suicide were Muslims.
    Pt. 2 coming…

  12. MsTracie Says:

    Why would you …
Why would you convert to a religion that allows men to beat you? Why take the choice you have away from yourself? Knowing all this hatred why become apart of it? I am a black Christian woman that grew up with Islam relatives and they were all cruel and men and their wives left them and Islam evntually. I respect Islam. I study sufism. Gave me a better relationship with God but I will NEVER convert to Islam. My life My freedom. My choice is too valuable.

  13. brents350z Says:

    I don’t believe in …
I don’t believe in any religion and I don’t think anybody has a right to harm another person.

  14. brents350z Says:

it seems to me that …
it seems to me that the more religious countries are; the more problems they have.

  15. ISMASHYOUBRO Says:

    What about them? …
What about them? That is the intermingling of culture and religion. When did Islam promote honor killings?

It is true in some cases that the middle east is a bit ****’ed up simply due to some cultural traditional beliefs.

  16. RomanEmpeor Says:

This is a cruel and …
This is a cruel and inhuman barbaric practice. No one deserves cruel violence woman, man, child, animal, plants. I wonder what will these men say when the stand face to face with god on judgment day?

  17. olahhalo Says:
