In a video message on 26 November 2007, UNIFEM Goodwill Ambassador Nicole Kidman helped UNIFEM launch a new Internet campaign in an effort to shed light on the problem of violence against women and help to eradicate it. She called the violence many women worldwide face an appalling human rights violation that can be stopped, and asked everyone to add their names to a growing number of supporters saying “NO” to violence against women at www.saynotoviolence.org. “The more names we collect, the stronger our case to make ending violence against women a top priority for governments everywhere.”

There is a prejudice in this world against women…in China baby girls are often abandoned…there are so many girl babies in Chinese orphanages….and look at the honour killings, where girls are mutilated and even killed by men…..
Women can be abusive too…but it is more common for women to be abused by men because of attitudes and beliefs about women as inferior…this is historical.
Women can also be abusive to women.

A lot of women suffer injustice. The world is an unfair place on a lot of people. So, what ever happened to equality? The thing that’s funny about pious women, is that they march off in pursuit of a wonderland that only exists in their mind. They’re on a mission to make the world fair for themselves, without any null hypothesis about whether the world is even fair for men. Take a trip to a Military Cemetary and get a little perspective. Mental bullying in …
Mental bullying in a relationship is very destructive.
But because there is no visible evidence such as cuts and bruises it goes unnoticed.
Whether it be man or women being the one bullied it can cause that person to become very low esteemed in themselves feeling useless and unwanted.
Mental bullying just like physical abuse is very painful and can live with the victim for many years like a nightmare.

Violence against women should be more in the limelight than it is. It will be again for awhile because of the alleged abuse and murder of Drew Peterson’s wife. Why do we wait until a young woman is murdered before we discuss it. Check out animal research on caleighbrookswatchingthewatchers that shows what happens to humans who are abused – it helps answer the age-old question why don’t abused men, women, leave abusive relationships, besides the obvious reason – fearing for their lives.

I know you’re only saying that to get angry comments, but it’s still inappropriate. Feminists get on my nerves, constantly about this and that and discrimination, but while it would be nice to shut them up a while, women weren’t made for the enjoyment of men. We shouldn’t have to stand for violence any more than anyone else. We deserve as much respect as a man – and men also deserve our respect.
