Spotlights the link between meth and violence, especially domestic violence and crimes that result in imprisonment. Concludes with realistic solutions.
Oprah Winfrey opened up about the alleged Chris Brown assault of Rihanna. She warned Rihanna “If a man hits you once, he will hit you again. He will hit you again.” She went on to say she was going to do a show about domestic violence dedicated to all the Rihannas of the world.” Former Manhattan sex-crimes prosecutor Linda Fairstein had a much starker warning. She said not only could he hit you again the red flags are there he could kill you. The show focusing on domestic violence will air on Thursday.
The New York Daily News is reporting they have revealed the past fights reported to the police by Rihanna the night of the assault. Sources say she reported two fights. The first was three months ago in Europe and the statement said “It was a verbal dispute. She slapped him, he responded. He shoved her. There were no witnesses and no injuries.” The second was an argument in Barbados where he broke the window of a Range Rover but did not hit her. Now other media outlets have reported he had a history of violence but according to the Daily News this was the extent that was reported to the police.
