Tom Leykis on domestic violence
February 112010
I haven’t done a video in a while so I thought I’d phone one on in and release this interesting monologue from shock jock Tom Leykis. Some are going to complain but I don’t relate to most of what Tom says. Occasionally he has an interesting topic like this.
I agree with a lot of what Tom has to say here, there is a limit of how much a person can be completely absolved from a situation. But to even voice thoughts of this kind is called “blaming the victim”. Sometimes the victim deserves a portion of the blame. That is reality.
Say I was murdered for walking the docks at night. The person who murdered me should be caught and held to account for the crime. But I played a part in the fate that befell me. The same way that a person accepts the chances of cancer if they were to smoke. Don’t cry afterwards because you decided to smoke and then got cancer.
A person who has committed domestic violence has committed violence — that is illegal. In caring societies we should have laws against violence, and we do. In the past much of DV was ignored and the feminists changed attitude. We should also help people who have nowhere to go, like a housewife with no job skills.
We should help people but we should not capitulate to their helplessness. De-politicise DV, and realise that like all crimes, you cannot completely stamp it out. A lot of it stems from a state of mind.
I am not a fan of MRA’s becoming victim mongerers. But I have two problems with DV as it stands in the modern zeitgeist:
1) The services provided are for women only. This is oppressive against men and violates the constitution of the U.S.
2) There are lies spread by the feminists to increase confusion and anti-male sentiment. Their way lies not in the truth.

OK. No problem. …
OK. No problem. Spousal abuse is non-gender specific.
“malicious harassment of men” …and this is a problem in whose world?

It is worse because …
It is worse because it involves a trust that two guys in bar don’t share. Whether you like it or not, women trust and depend upon their men to care for them (do you know the origin of the word HUSBAND?)
February 11th, 2010 at 3:10 am
here you go again …
here you go again advocating double standards and sexist policies against men. try educating yourself, and understand that women need to learn to take personal responsibility and that actions (like malicious harassment of men) have consequences.

you mean like cows, …
you mean like cows, right? thats what females are, breeders. any other function is merely superfluous.

kcdad2806, maybe …
kcdad2806, maybe the spousal abuse, embezzlement, slander and harassment against men by women should also recieve special attention and jail time. arent women equal now? dont you believe that? why are you advocating special sexist discrimination against men? what a sick and deluded individual you are.

i don’t think …
i don’t think that’s the issue of the video. to add to what you were saying, i don’t think that oj simpson is a proper example. i would assume that it depends greatly on the judge, and of course how well of the job the police did in the report.

This is one of …
This is one of an excellent point. Do you want to fix the larger problem of dysfunctional relationships? Or only help the perpetrator…err…umm, the assailant. Arguably the victim perpetrated by allowing the assailant to assault.

@Oracle176x Yea …
@Oracle176x Yea because getting beaten by your wife or husband is much worse than being shot dead on the streets.
February 11th, 2010 at 3:10 am
thats what he means …
thats what he means and i agree with him. kids who are beaten obviously can’t leave, but idiot women who can LEAVE are as sick as the abusers.
February 11th, 2010 at 3:10 am
i dont feel sorry …
i dont feel sorry for women that stay in those kinds of relationships, i do feel sorry for the children in them though.

The truth is the …
The truth is the truth!
Tom knows how to bring it.
Bring back the Tom Leykis Show!!
Shit, I’ll even take an AM version these days!
Love you, Tom!

asshole, domestic …
asshole, domestic violence is the worst form of violence because it doesnt happen in the street or workplace where you can remove yourself from that violence. when your father beats you and you’re only 8 years old. its not just about wives. but yes women who marry violent men are stupid.
February 11th, 2010 at 3:10 am
“Anyone that …
“Anyone that commits a violent act against somebody else should be punished, reguardless of gender”. This is what Tom said… And I agree.
February 11th, 2010 at 3:10 am
Tom is saying that …
Tom is saying that those women need help, and many women try to play victim in a lot anyway and they get away with it because of society. You say men are acquitted of spousal assaults? Women pull weapons on men, throw things at men, get in mens faces and try to fight all the time, and even kill their husbands, and they don’t go to jail or get charged because they are women. If you would read some history or some news like you are trying to tell someone else to, you would know about these things.
February 11th, 2010 at 3:10 am
But what Tom is …
But what Tom is saying is real simple here… He isn’t saying that domestic violence is greater or lower than any type of violence. No one should do violence to anyone. What Tom is saying is that why is there nothing said or done to the women that STAY with someone after it is done once already. Come on, you know the type of women that say, “I stay with him because he doesn’t mean it when he’s like that, he loves me”.

Try reading some …
Try reading some History. Or some news.
Even today men are acquitted (if even charged) of spousal assaults, rapes, murders and abandonment because of the cultures attitudes about sex differences.
Henry VIII ring any bells?
OJ Simpson (before he ended up killing her)
The problem with a list that doesn’t include murderers is that unless a husband actually kills his wife, no one is likely to know about it.
February 11th, 2010 at 3:10 am
WHY? Because …
WHY? Because relationships are based upon trust and domestic violence is especially egregious in that it ruptures the closest bond two people can have. Are you really so daft as to think that a bar fight between two drunks is the same as some jerk beating up a woman half his size in the privacy of his own home with no witnesses?
February 11th, 2010 at 3:10 am
Believe me, it has …
Believe me, it has not gone unnoticed. Leykis simply vents the angry sentiment of men. The Men’s and Father’s Rights Movement is growing and I urge everyone to take part. Please also see my blog and google rebuking feminism.

It’s official: …
It’s official: 2010 and 2011 has been declared…..THE YEAR OF THE MAN. Why two years? It will take that long to celebrate all of our accomplishments. Spread the word…..Tell every woman. And TELL EVERY LESBIAN TWICE!!!
February 11th, 2010 at 3:10 am
Fucking on the spot …
on the spot.
I like his first point in the audio the most though:
—->Why is DV a special type of violence, what makes it so much more special and to be paid more attention than other kinds of violence?
Really, a common sense question on his part
I’d also add the following:
—-> Why is RAPE SO SPECIAL? I mean big deal, unwanted sex!?!? Wow…
Do you know a person will go to jail for twice more years if he rapes someone, than if he kills them.
February 11th, 2010 at 3:10 am
Dang – He is right …
Dang – He is right on the MONEY.
What I do not understand about this:
Why doesn’t he just come out and say that its feminist ideals that have put such a big hilght on domestic violence – and turned it into an industry?
Also, he says, “there was a time in this country when men could beat their wives”.
WHEN? I would really like to hear more about this – because I do not believe this is true.
AND PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME ABOUT THE “RULE OF THUMB” – THAT IS BALONEY!!!
February 11th, 2010 at 3:10 am
NO, they’re stupid. …
NO, they’re stupid. They are absolutely 100% stupid

IT is different …
IT is different because the WOmbgender is to be protected, loved and adored. The Vessel that carries the Life Energy is more prescious.
