The lowdown on domestic violence against men part 1

This video is essentially a slight remake of my “Domestic violence – Ignoring the victims” video.
It contains a great deal of new material but I did it for reasons I shall reveal in time..

I have moved back indoors as it was becoming increasingly difficult to find a quiet place to make the video in an uninterrupted way.

Like all my other videos today — this one is split into two parts too. I would like to stop this but youtube insists not, even though I have directors account, I cannot upload videos longer than 10 minutes long. What a load of bull, youtube is not the best at providing you with a way to contact them.

[corrections]
I said “Erin Pizney” it is “Erin Pizzey”.

“move to south africa” – Yea, maybe equality is not in africa, but we have it here. And it’s about time men demand
equal rights to the courts and social services!!! THAT is what this is all about…

i used to get beaten when i was a child by women, when i was old and big enough i was able to give them a beating and have never had any abuse since, so sometimes male on female violence isnt a bad thing

Argus have you seen the movie The Pursuit of Happynes? If you haven’t then go rent it or something it shows what life was like for a man being discriminated against and the emotional abuse that he suffered from his wife. It is based on a true story!

    So you allow the …
So you allow the men to make extremely violent comments towards women but when a woman turns around and does it, probably to make a point at how FOOLISH it is to do such a thing, you suspend her. Ok, I see how this works. You banter on about equality and these posts you moderate are equal eh? Unfuckingreal.

    Domestic Violence, …
Domestic Violence, domestic violence is when ur girlfriend totals both your cars, steals ur money, and her other boyfriend to visits when ur away. then when you say she has to leave, she callls the cops and has you arressted, then steals yourstuff when your in jail. No marks on her, as long as I’m alive boyfriends can beat the out of their girlfriends and I’ll give them a medal!

    Go to marc rudov’s …
Go to marc rudov’s website about domestic violence and u will find that 70% of perpetrators are actually women. Where as men are most likely to refrain from hitting a woman – even in self defense a woman whos violent will hold a no holds barred attitude because she can and wants to. I’m not against equality of opportunity as long as women can follow it up by going and settling for men with lower status than them when they are in higher earning careers.

  18. C008968 Says:

    Women will NEVER …
Women will NEVER have REAL/TRUE EQUALITY until they have REAL/TRUE EQUAL ACCOUNTABILITY-REAL/TRUE EQUAL RESPONSIBILITY and Liability. Remember, women are 100% responsible for every abortion that takes place. It is their Body,it is their Choice. They are the only ones who are accountable for those actions. They should take 100% of the credit for every one of them. It is their burden. Thats what makes them “unequal”..they are the only ones who can birth and/or kill a child,AT THEIR DISCRETION….

    I imagine some of …
I imagine some of you might think it below the belt to say that but flicking through the pages of mags like FHM makes me wonder if they are even aware of the MRM at all. I would think that a magazine claiming to be the most read in the world might have realised the influence they could have if they devoted a few pages each issue to a subject such as fathers rights or prostate cancer in stead of teaching young men how to starve themselves into 28/34 Armani jeans.

  20. PoetryEater Says:

    I am against …
I am against negative treatment of men in the media too. What ArgusEyes finds offensive in media images of the brute of a man hitting a woman I find equally offensive, & many more cliche’s like it exist. They are neither accurate nor healthy psychology. One instance I’ll pull from here is in a recent issue of FHM where to lose weight, the writers were actually encouraging anorexia and bulimia – hardly the epitomy of responsible authorship is it? Where is the “real” man’s voice in FHM?

  21. PoetryEater Says:

    The media …
The media consistently do throw a lot of negative attention towards women. Portraying women as objects just for the pleasure of men is just one of the many ways in which the media act to moniter and shape attitudes to the feminine. And feminist groups always are up in arms about it. But I find this fairly superficial in comparisson with the current trend teenagers have for having their labia removed (on T.V) and the way in which the media “normalises” such procedures.

  22. PoetryEater Says:

    Depends what part …
Depends what part of India you’re in. India is a lot more liberal than you’d think – particularly in terms of gender, cross dressing, nudity and sex.

  23. FlameltaSK0 Says:

    It’s sorta hard to …
It’s sorta hard to make this problem known. Most of the time it’s considered shameful if you tell anyone. The problem is just how socity sees men, but you know guys are brought up to be more “tough” than girls are, and usually will act violent to protect their masculinity. For example, I saw a lot of rather violent and disturbing comments here about hurting the woman. no offense but I wouldn’t want to be around a lot of you guys… though most guys are awesome, especially my dad! =D

  24. FlameltaSK0 Says:

Oh? So it’s ok for …
Oh? So it’s ok for you to not only hit her, but to cut her with a knife? That’s pathetic…

  25. St37One Says:

    Why should …
    Why should comparative victimology matter?
It matters because feminists are lobbying for sexist regulations, policies and laws that pertain to domestic conflicts. If people were under the impression that men and women were equally victimized/culpable in IPV, then it would be difficult to institutionalize sexist discrimination and prejudice. For feminists, it is very important that when a man and woman percieve each other as hostile enemy, that the law should take the womans side by default.
