No. Those kids were the ones abused that poor man.

  8. demnogonus Says:

    Somewhat ironic …
Somewhat ironic given that I didn’t verbally abuse anyone and yet you proceeded to call me “little boy” which is belittling. Also I’d place a layman’s wager that verbally abusive people are more angry than jocular.

  9. tomfulery1 Says:

    Silly little boy, …
Silly little boy, is your life so bitter and twisted you need to post on verbal abuse posts with verbal abuse. Made you look in the mirror and did’nt like what you saw? Don’t worry, you are off to a good abuser start, you have the sarcasm and language down. Won’t be long till you are beating your girlfriend and molesting your children. It all begins with ignorance like yours. See you in counselling in 30 years when your wife and kids hate you……

  10. demnogonus Says:

    Wow she really must …

Really shows that physical abuse is small compared to emotional abuse!

  12. louthebody Says:

    Well, he was like …
Well, he was like that until I was old enough to go to work and start earning my own money. Which that was at about 16 years old. When you start earning they start losing control over you. That was my therory. It also gets you out of the house and gives you a few hours peace and a chance to make some friends, and you have a reason to get out of the house. For my dad earning money was a good reason. I also turned to God. For some he’s not real for me he’s very real. You have a right to happiness.

“Maybe ol’ Dad was angry because he couldn’t get his point across during what sounds like being in a wind tunnel with the cat standing on a keyboard.”
This is tasteful humor, not often seen around these parts; well done, sir/ma’am!

  20. louthebody Says:

    I agree, I really …
I agree, I really believe my parents did the best they could and my childhood wasn’t nearly as bad as theirs, they tried, and I forgive them. However parents can make a point without the name calling and brow beating. To curse a 9 year old out for not knowing how to fix a tv like my dad did is totally crazy. I’m in my 40’s and still don’t know how to take apart and fix a tv, but I can cook very well, I finished high school, I’ve never been fired from a job. Things my dad never did.

    Emotional abuse is …
Emotional abuse is often worse than physical abuse as the wounds are invisible. At least with bruises people physically know you’ve been abused but deep down inside is where the real damage is done and more often than not it’s passed down multiple generations. If you’re angry with someone the best thing you can do is show some basic self-control.
