Obviously you will have to report to the police.If your friend is afraid of her case being reported on the news or others knowing then get a counselor.But they would report it to the police anyway.

Would using stalking and abuse against women be a good topic to use for a issue proposal argument essay?

I dont know what topic to write about, and I don’t know if this would be a good idea. Do you think so?

I would chose a topic that has lots of research articles. If this is for a legal class or debate, you really need to delimit the topic to make it manageable. This one, might be, poorly researched. Look at the case of Selena Gomez. A stalker gets a temporary restraining order, which involves, maintaining a distance of 100 yards. Well, lots of damage can be done from that distance. If there were proper laws, nationwide, he would be incarcerated. Take one already on the books and with lots of laws and research, plus a nationwide data base, child sexual molestation. The issue should be that of lifetime monitoring or lifetime incarceration, or some such. And the opposing side is that they can’t earn a living, with the issue being recidivism is expected to be in the 99th percentile. I think that is a better topic and easier to frame. If you could be specific about what the assignment is and for what class, the homework area is good for getting responses, as I may have failed to grasp the dilemma.

Can you recommend any charities for prevention of or treatment for sexual abuse against women and children?

I would like to donate to a charity whose goal is to prevent and/or treat the consequences of the rape or other sexual abuse (trafficking, etc.) against women and children. The charity could address the problem either within the U.S. or internationally. It could apply to the prostitution of children or the rampant problem of rape as a weapon of war. I would really appreciate your suggestions. Thank you.

Try the United Nations if you’re after a worldwide organisation that is working tirelessly to overcome violence against women and children.
In Australia you could donate to a centre against sexual assault who deliver programs/education and give crisis support to survivors.
In the US try RAINN.
And let’s not forget Amnesty that does amazing things for human rights.

I’m doing a speech on world issues,please could you give me a link or some info on cases of abuse against women. For example ones where the woman has been beaten severely and the authorities have made no action. Thanks!

Why are men expected to put up with more simply because they are men?

I come from a broken, fatherless household where I live with my mother and aunt. They are constantly belittling me, taking stabs at my physical appearance, trying to embarrass me if I do things that they do not like, throwing things at me, punching, kicking, screaming, constantly bad talking me in front of friends and family, flat out lying about me to try to ruin my reputation and general passive aggressive behavior like buying things for me just so they can criticize me for accepting their gifts.. All because they hate me.

I have suffered self esteem issues and feelings of inadequacy because of they have been abusing me. When I try to tell people about it, they think I’m lying or they tell me to "suck it up" or "man up". I have had days where I have thought about killing myself.

But women are always encouraged, likely to be believed and there are always open arms for them. Why is that? Why don’t they do this for men too? Do they think we men can’t be abused by women or other men? I don’t think it’s fair that I have to get hated for being a man.

People think that women won’t do much damage and don’t look at it as " a human hitting another human ". No abuse is acceptable IMO. No one should put up with it.

It’s odd because they say it is an issue of men being stronger ( physically ) but if a weak man was beat up by a stronger man then they would say " he was asking for it " .

Even dumber is the fact that if he calls the cops on her, he may end up going to jail.

From women having no power of protecting themselves from rape, how women get bashed on everything, looked down on, pretty much all the bullshit still happening today on women is it really…all because we have vaginas? B/c thats the only power they have over us, is being able to rape us and make us feel not like a person just cause they feel the need that their hand isn’t good enough.

I know were not more dumb than men. I know were not weaker. We are pretty much capable of doing everything a man can. We ARE capable of doing everything that a man can.

As far as Im concerened we have better ideas, we think shit through, we think the better for everything not just ourselves, we have better solutions just EVERYTHING in general.

Heck! We push an 8 pound child out of a tiny 2 cm hole. And…were still the weaker ones?
Like I really don’t get it. For the past how many years this topic doesn’t seem to leave me but make me more and more pissed off. To the point I wanted to create a clan to destroy men cause thats how pissed off I am that this can happen.

No this isn’t a sexist thing. And if so, let me be sexist then. Cause as far as Im concered you have not given women a break at all. Like I’ve even had dreams of every women killing themselves and to just see how well men would last. And think maybe they shouldn’t have treated us like crap and such.

I dunno, I totally think it all has to do with the fact we have a vagina. Its sad even girls like 12 see rape on tv and wonder why would someone do that? Or Lovely Bones, girls asked why would someone rape a litttle girl like…wow! What bullshit women have to worry about on a daily basis for something they never even brought upon themselves..

What are YOU doing to stop it?

my father beat my mother when i was little and what i would do is cry, it made him feel bad. also my friend who is an adult talked with me about her child abuse in her life and one time when her father choked her stepmother (she was turning blue) she peed herself to stop the violence, she said all the screaming went silent and it all stopped because her father was just shocked and confused. so what i am trying to say is that children help stun parents (at least for awhile) to make the hurt stop.

I need to find an article where it talks about being for abuse of women and another where a group is against it. Its for a project where we have to take a side and obviously im against it but im having a hard time finding an article where it talks about abuse being right. please help
