Do you think raping your wife should stay illegal? On the other side do you think that a woman is automatically consenting when she marries a man?
Why would she be automatically consenting?

Absolutely! No is no, married or not. Marriage does not give anyone rights to take away anyone’s dignity. If rape becomes legal, where’s the equality? I’m wondering why this is even a question for you.

I am not sure the intent of the law since it would be very hard to prove rape. Any type of violence is covered by other laws. Has anyone ever been convicted of that?

It should definately stay illegal, just because a man gets married, it doesnt mean they have the right to have sex with their partner whenever they want.

O wow, jerk. Ok it does not matter at all…are you serious? Sex is something you choose to do…you don’t just give up your "stuff" because you’re married. It is still personal and when sex is forced upon you then it’s rape. It doesn’t matter if its your husdand. If there is a no…or a resistance then its RAPE!

Marriage is many wonderful commitments, but it is not a commitment to having sex anytime, anywhere a man (or woman) wants it. Yes it should stay illegal. Being married to someone does not mean you have the right to force them to do anything. There is also no such thing as automatic consent.

Well, I dont agree either way!!! Cause the reason that I dont is because on one hand there are some really ruthless women out there that would claim this happening when it really didnt!!! Fully consenting to consentual sex, and then using it to get him jailed for whatever he done before sex to piss her off!!! Most of the time when cops, usually other men, even think that another woman has been hurt by a man, they automatically believe the woman and not him. Being married atleast is somewhat of a protection against women that can do stuff like that. But, on the other hand no woman should ever have that happen to her, married or not!!! But, if that has happend then she has the power to leave him as well!!!
