The Women’s Health Data Book Report — Violence Against Women indicated that:

* More than 2.5 million females experience some form of violence each year. Almost two of every three of these females are attacked by a relative or person known to them.

* The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found in a national survey that 34 percent of adults in the United States had witnessed a man beating his wife or girlfriend, and that 14 percent of women report that they have experienced violence from a husband or boyfriend.

* More than 1 million women seek medical assistance each year for injuries caused by battering.

* In 1992, the American Medical Association reported that as many as 1 in 3 women will be assaulted by a domestic partner in her lifetime — 4 million in any given year. ("When Violence Hits Home." Time. June 4, 1994).
* Among all female murder victims in 1992, 29% were slain by boyfriends or husbands
* The average prison sentence of men who kill their women partners is 2 to 6 years. Women who kill their partners are, on average, sentenced to 15 years. (National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, 1989)

I would like to gather all bibles copies and burn them

It’s because the bible insists that women are below men and do not deserve equal rights.
It’s even considered an act against god when a country has a female ruler.
So, christians hate women because their bibles tell them it’s right.

Well ALL know in the west if a girl says rape and guy is done for even if it was consentual. So sharia combats that by you have to have a witness or two since people knew women would lie about that to get men in trouble.

So no matter what you feel about islam, don’t they at least give men a fair shot in court?

Sharia law is not much different than that of the Torah or Christian bible old testament. Jewish law, according to the Talmud requires Two witnesses as well and that is based on content in the Torah. The Torah is the first five books of the old testament. The thing to remember when reading Jewish law or Sharia Law is that it was based on the social structure of thousands of years ago for Jewish law and about 1600 years ago for Islamic Sharia law. Also, realize that there is a burden of proof under today’s US legal system that must be met. Rape like any other crime requires evidence. Forensically it is not difficult to determine whether sex was forced or consensual.

It appears that rape and incest is always used as an primary argument for abortion access. Isn’t that just claiming that most women who have an abortion were raped or a victim of incest.

No, I don’t think so- I think it has more to do with people thinking about the worst, most extreme cases. Rape, incest, and health-endangering pregnancy are all relatively rare in comparison to elective, social abortions, but that doesn’t mean that you can write them off- they do happen, and when people bring them up, they’re doing so because they want to ensure that anybody who says "Abortion is always wrong! It should always be illegal!" knows that they are condemning rape and incest victims to the horrors of carrying such pregnancies to term.
