I have a 3.38 GPA. Not that great, I know.
I took running start in high school (early college classes) and did really bad. I ended high school with a 2.9 and that went over towards my college GPA. I’ve raised it up though, but considering the fact that I took two years of early college classes (in high school) and did poorly in a lot of them– it’s incredibly HARD to raise it up.
But so far, I’ve maintained about a 3.79-3.8 gpa per quarter since ending high school.
I’m also in:
Phi Theta Kappa- Honor Society
Music and Art Appreciation
Group Against Domestic Violence
and I volunteered at a Jewish retirement center
I’m also a minority.
Preferably schools in California, New York, or Washington please.
There is rarely any advantage whatsoever in going out of state for your Bachelors degree.
The goal is to attend the flagship university in your state, excel there, then go to the big name school for your graduate or professional degree.
You haven’t mentioned SAT or ACT scores. They are critical.
Depending on your proposed major, those ECs might be enhancing or just a waste of time. Think in terms of pertinence to the major.
Bottom line – look at your state’s best school for the BA/BA.
