Men Against Rape

Time and again, I’ve seen people argue that even rape victims shouldn’t be allowed to have abortions if their rapes result in an unwanted pregnancy. First of all, how likely is it that any of the people making this argument have ever endured a rape? Second, how many female rape victims are likely to agree with them?

Insightful question. In my opinion it is the woman’s choice always, not that of a bunch of smug preachers. She may choose to keep the child or not. Most sex does not result in pregnancy and I guess most rapes don’t result in pregnancy. I hope never to be in that situation but I can place myself in her shoes. It’s her body, her choice.
